This Saab 900 turbo convertible with diplomat plates was taking advantage of the nice temperature this morning.
Bonus round: this person likes pirates, and dislikes orange bloviators.

It’s a great pirate plate on the anti-Trump Lexus, I’ve seen that one around a few times.
I am disappointed in the lack of Citroens, Renaults, Pugs, Lancias, Holdens and other forbidden fruit that diplomats could have but apparently can’t be bothered to own. So my hat is off to you, Mr. Saab Driver Man of the Swedish embassy.

DDJ apparently means he’s a diplomat from France.
Looks like Sweden would be DGC

I saw a beautiful hatchback version of that very same car this morning on the 14th Street Bridge. The woman driving was confused by my enthusiastic thumbs up.
As an aside, the humidity was 84% this morning. There are greenhouses with less airborne moisture.

Am I weird for kinda enjoying the humidity?
( The 900 was on Old Georgetown in North Bethesda heading down to 495, the RX was on Rt. 7 heading from 495 towards my office.)

Yeah, yeah you are. I left my house in my El Camino which has questionable AC, got a cup of coffee and then turned around to switch back to my Volvo so I wouldn’t be sweaty when I got to my office.

One of my coworkers’ husband is a US diplomat. They lived in Tokyo before DC. They bought an R32 GT-R while they were in Tokyo and brought it back with them. Well, it's at his parents house in Ohio.

OHIO??? That poor car. I endorse Electric Six’s view of the state.

If I wanted to get my car vandalized, I’d begin by vandalizing it myself and adding a bunch of political bumper stickers.

Driving around the DC area with these bumper stickers is not likely to result in the car being vandalized. More like a hearty congratulations to the driver.

I just read a story on Politico that said the millennial Trump staffers can’t socialize or court without being harassed
and have had to congregate in a particular area. “Trump supporters swipe left.” (Is left the “no” direction on Tinder?)

It’s not that there are no Republicans here, they’re just the minority. It’s a mix of old money WASPy pr eppy types, and people from other parts of the country whose jobs have led them to this area. Lots of ex-military folks who transition their security clearance into federal civilian jobs, or who go work for one of the many many many government contracting companies like my employer. The farther out into the suburbs and exurbs you go, the less blue it becomes.
But yeah, younger Trump supporters in the city itself and close-in burbs like where I live and work tend to have to seek each other out.

Makes me think of the gay bars of yore.
